CIN I Lesion Hybridized with HPV Probe. A. A CIN I lesion hybridized with DAKO wide spectrum probe. Diffuse signals are evident in the superficial layers. AEC was applied for 10 minutes. B. A section from the same lesion treated with DAB for 3 minutes. There are diffuse signals at the superficial layers. There are numerous fine punctate-like signals throughout the epithelial thickness, however as before these are frequently found on the circumference of nuclei and associated with cytoplasm making their interpretation as genuine HPV-related hybridization signal unreliable.
